Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
Welcome! Therapy helps us find a way to live in the world authentically and wholeheartedly. Are you looking for ways to alleviate negative thinking, behaviors or beliefs that stop you from meeting your goals? Counseling offers an opportunity to learn positive ways to respond to life's challenges, to understand and change self-defeating behavior patterns and build a more balanced, meaningful and rewarding life. Everyone has the potential to improve, make positive changes, and deepen their relationship with the self.
My goal is to help you achieve your best self, and create a fulfilling life. I work for you, providing a healing and safe environment to facilitate your personal growth.
My approach is interactive and collaborative. I utilize a client-centered approach incorporating eclectic and evidence based practices. I tailor my approach to my clients personality and their goals. I am trained as an Art Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor and am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I enjoy working with a wide range of clients--adolescents, adults, couples, and families -who are dealing with emotional issues such as anxiety, depression, codependency, low self-esteem, trauma, stress and relationship issues.
Art therapy is a great way to express what words cannot. Art therapy uses art in conjunction with the counseling process. At times the work is about the healing and empowering process of making art, while other projects are based on the insight that comes through the imagery and conversation regarding the art.
